In business since 2006, Next Day Koi strives to bring high quality, healthy Koi, Butterfly Koi and Goldfish to aquaculture hobbyists across the US.

It all started on eBay.  Way back in 2006, this was just a side job to bring in a little extra money.  There were already a few individuals selling koi on eBay, so we thought “Hey, let’s throw our hat in the ring”.

We only sold a few fish per day in the beginning, but it was encouraging nonetheless.  eBay proved to be a good platform for selling, and the feedback we received was outstanding.  Check out our long track record of success on eBay.  Our volume grew steadily through the first two years.

Our little venture quickly proved to be more than just a side job.  We needed help, and brought on our first employee in 2010.  Other employees would follow.  As of 2013, we have four employees working to bring you top quality Koi, Butterfly Koi and Goldfish.  Our constant expansion means that even more positions will be added with the coming of the 2014 Koi Season.

But our growth and expansion have raised questions about issues other than our workforce.  Where eBay was once a great selling platform, it has slowly lost its luster.  Seller’s fees increase seemingly every year, cutting into our profits and translating into higher prices for you, the buyer.   Competition has increased as well. Not too long ago, there were only a few koi sellers on eBay.  But the growth of the market has seen more and more individuals and businesses offering their goods.
